The superintendent's cottage was
freshly painted thi week.
The domestic science girls were busy '
canning cherries Tuesday.
'i r. Woods and Oriri French were4busy
making windows for Mr.Bewley's cottage.
Mr. Mann, with the help'of his black
smith boys made a cellar for his house
this week.
Mr.Mudge and his detail spent part of
the week making improvements at the
dairy barn. , ; '
lhe plumbers are busy working on the
steam supply for the kitchen and the '
boys' home.
. The Carpenters were busy this week
making screens and a screen uoor lor the
superintendent's cottage, y ,
' The engineers have already fixed one
oi the boilers toburn coal in and started
to using it Tuesday. ,
l he painters are busy ; painting the.
houses,, and by the diru tiuy get thru,
one will think-that new buildings had
been built.
The carpenters are working on M r.
Bewely's cottage. John Sulky made the
sash frames, while Mr." Woods made the
1 window frames. ,
' The dairymen are turning out more
butter this year than ever before. They
churn three times a week Monday
Thursday and Saturday.
The cylinder of the small engine . has
been taken to Salem to be bored out.
They have been using lhe big engine
night and day while the small one is be
ing fixed. '
After the small engine is fixed, the
cylinder of the big engine will also be
bored out.
Mr. Westly and Hulden replaced the
climbing rose bushes back oh to the va
ious buildings after the painting was
done.

Gordon Hobucket and Ben Wilcox
'folded and mailed the American on Fri
day and Gordon also printed the pro
gram for the Sunday school Convention.
The girls of the graduating class work
ed in the domestic science on Tuesday,
-Wednesday and Thursday. Dora Gray
and Sarah Pierce worked on Tuesday,
and the whole class on Wednesday,
while Josie Peoi.e and Nora. Van Pelt
Worked on' Thursday. ;
We are more than pleased to see .the
passing of ihe Band uniforms. And
with unbound thanks to the Office for
the timely help: furnished by, Miss Skip
ton and her able,assi;tants, it epambled
us to see the finish of a task earlier than
expected. This leaves us in a position
to take up the order for the 'making of
the suits for the graduating class which
we are now engaged in, and can report a
f a vor'able progress upon. Thie Tailor
shop as a' unit, unites in a note of thanks'
to Miss i Skipton and ' her able assistants
for help furnished , in. firnishing the
, Band uniforms.
