The Printer anti NeMka picnic
The picnic given by Misses Jones and
Brewers to the printers and members of
the Nesika Club last Friday was what
may be rightfully termed a genuine
"Jollification." Games of all sorts were
played, and while some played, others
to pass the time away sung songs, reci
ted such Ragtims as "Mary had' a
William goat' "This is the domicile
erected by John" and various other
favorite poetry. Prizes were offered in
the contests. Gordon .FTohucket won the
the p:ize in the potato race, Louise Mur
ray in the egg-fanning race Ernest Brew
er in the egg race and Jo1 Dillstrom and
his three faithful colleagues J. M. Teaho

Along toward evening every one

The people in the domestic science are
proud of their new curtains.
The mess has the raot delicious crisp
lettuce, and every one enjoys it.
The vetch is being cut and hauled to
the cow-barn by the farmers and dairy
men. Mrs. Cooper says that all the' girls
wish they could make as good biscuits
as Violet Berner.
The farmers and dairymen have just
cut' vetch and filled the two silos and
have commenced making hay.
'J he eighth grade girls worked in the
domestic science last week and made the
pies that have been made for sometime.
The printers finished listing the hun
dred and forty cuts owned by the
American office, many which are very old.
The plumbers and engineers changed
the steampipes running to the kitchen
and p mp and then the stew will be
cooked f istsr and probably better.
The gardeners are expecting to have
a picnic some of these good days when
they have rid the fruit trees of the in
sects which are eating the leaves badly.
The tailors are making favorahls pro
gress in their depaitment. .A better
understanding of garment construction
is being manifested in he finished pro
ducts that was wanting two months ago.
We are pleased to note that the de
signing and cutting of nil trousers is now
executed by an advanced student Philip
Sorhan who displays a remarkable apti
tude for this executive branch of mer
chant tailoring.
