William Ferris was a visitor at Che
mawa last Tuesday.
Mrs. Eells is visiting Mr. and Mrs.
Chaleraft this week.
Dr. V. Q. Tucker, the new physician
and little son, Tommy, arrived the lat
ter part of April.
Dr. Geo. F. Fanning and family left
for Crow Agency Mont. Apr. 28th where
he has been transferred.
Quite a number of boys with the assist
ance of Mr. Farrow were working on the
tennis court back, of Mitchell Hall.
Mr. Teabo our band master was ab
sent from the grounds last Sunday leav
ing the band under the leadership of Mr.
Larsen.
May Mercier was appointed manager
of the "Howlith Tolow" Club which .was
recently organized by some of the Mc
Bride Hall girls.
The carpenter boys and harnessmakers
were hard at work moving the old jail
which is being put in repair for Mr.
Bewley to occupy.
Miss Bowman, Ella Brewer, Peter
Seltice, Robert Davis and Louisa Murray
'gave interesting talks at the joint meet
ing of the Y. W. and Y. M. C. A. Sun
day evening.
Mrs. Brewer, Mrs. Woods and Miss
Bowman gave Miss Jones a very pleas
ant surprise party Friday evening, May
3rd. There were present about twenty
five guests and a birthday cake with
many, many, many candles on it. After
several guessing games were played, and
the dainty refreshments served, the
guests departed at a late hour-

tended the musical recital at the Sacred
Heart Academy on May 2nd.
Miss C. Harold is visiting Mrs Brewer
today.
Mrs. Bewley, the sister-in law of our
engineer, is cooking for the mess.
Supt. Chaleraft and family are board
ing at the Mess while the cottage is be
ing papered.
Mr. Campbell visited the 7th gJade on
Thursday afrernoon and gave us pome
questions in percentage and was pleased
with the. way We solved them. He said
wo were very quick.
There was quite a bear chape at Che
mawa last Saturday afternoon besides
all the excitement ovtr the relay race.
Last Saturday we had a lawn sociable
in honor of the boys who won the fifty
mile relay race.
The pupils of the 6th and 7th grades
found out by measuring how much kal
somine it would take to cover the walls
and ceilings of the upstairs class-rooms
and the chapel. Such practical Arithme
tic work we find a great advantage to us.
