Rev. Webber of Salem gave us a very
interesting and instructive lecture in the
chapel on 'Monday evening. Inking for
his subject the thtee D's, dirt, deht and
devilishness, and the three R's, realner-s,
reasi n and resolution. This lecture was
about as good as six sermons.
The beautiful decorations in chapel
on Faster were the product of Miss
Dohse's and Miss Miller's taste and Miss
Troutman's large collection of very tine
plants. Plants from the green hou-e,
and ferns, Oregon grape, wild flowers
and green foliage from the woods furnish
ed the balance of the decorations.

Neta Jones is now working for Mrs
Cox. She does her work very nice.
We enjoyed the entertaintment that
'was given Saturday evening March. 30
The entertainment given by Emily
Squier last Saturday night was enjoved
by all that attended.
We all hope to see a nice entertain
ment, which will b given by the Xesika
Clnb in the near futuie.
Miss Miller look some girls out for a
walk Saturday evening 'to gather some
flowers to decorate the chapel for
Easter.

Anna Ilatiser said she is going to grasp
every opportunity she can and has made
a. resolution to be kind and generous to
all at Chemawa.
Mr. Teabo, the leader of t he Chemawa
Indian Band received from one of the
tailor shops in the east a new uniform
with which he is much pleased.
On Easter Sunday twelve b)v- and
eisiht girls from the Klamath, ( reseent
City, and Smith River, Cal., had their
pictures taken in front of the office.
The small girls' Band of Mercy had a
nice program last Wednesday night
soi.ie of the members were absent but we
had a very interesting tim any way.
