Miss Josie Mercier has paid a visit to
her sisters, Miy and Caroline Mercier.
Miss Miller has returned from her
farm in Washington she had a fine trip.
We wrote a reproduction of 'Bishop
Scadding talk in the seventh grade.
vVe are looking forward to a public
debate between the Nonpareils and Ex
celsiors. Tracey B. Johnston and Silas P. Albert
have been repairing some doors from the
hospital.
The sewing room girls are waiting for
the hot summer days to come so they
can give a picnic D. D.
The rainy weather has been rather bad
for the gardeners as it stops all the work
such as plowing and pruning.
Leon Reinken who has recently been
promoted to the seventh'grade is getting
along fine with his studies. J. M.
Dora Lane left last Sunday for her
home at Happy Camp, Cal. Her many
friends are sorry that she left Chemawa
and hope that she will return soon.

Harry Jones, or "old boy" as he calls
himself, is running the engine this week

ing talk given by Bishop Scadding of
Oregon and hope he will soon visit us
again.
Edith Milne, a farmer pupil of Che
mawa, is now taking care of her sick
brother Andrew Milne at Metiakatla
Alaska.
The party given by t'm Band boys,
celebrating their annivers.ii'y mi Satur
day, was a great success and every mie

The morning detail of the blacksmith
shop finished putting up and painting
the smoke stacks Monday morning which
improves the appearance of our shop.
The Y. M C. A. members are very
polite. They shake hands with any body
that joins their ass eiation, to show that
they are glad to have them join. .J. B
We all enjoyed a viait from Bishop
Scadding. He visited the school build
ing in the morning and other places.
In the afternoon the band played, then
we gathered in the chapel and listened
to a very interesting speech of Bishop
Scadding
