We see by a postal that Simon Charles
is now going to the Tulalip school.
Mr. George Barrett of Alaska has been
visiting his children, who are at Chemawa
and expects to take Grace and Georgie
east with him to Minneapolis for a visit.
It may be possible that they will remain
in the east.
The many friends of Silas Moon were
very much suprised to see him drop off
the cars, to spend his Christmas vaca
tion at Chemawa. Mr. Moon is employed
in the Northern Pacific car works atTa
comaand is a credit to Chemawa and his
race.
The many friends of Miss Effie Lugen
beel will be pleased to know of her
marriage with Mr. Orville E. Mudge, on
Wednesday evening January second, at
her home in Padona, Kansas, and after
February first she will make her home
at Gordon, Nebraska. The American
and Miss Lugenbeel's friends extend to
her heartiest congratulations and best
wishes.

Mr. W. W. Phillips, who is with Mr.
Edward S. Curtis, of Curtis studio, Seattle
was a visitor at the school Wednesday.
Victor U. Brown drove him to Camp Mc
Dowell, where he teok some photographs
and gathered material for Mr. Curtis'
great work on the Indians. Mr Curtis
has spent the last eight months in Ariz
ona, visiting all the tribes of the territory.
