The Indian agent at Yankton agency
has closed a contract for two more ar
tesian wells at Lake Andes on the Yank
ton reservation. The water in the lake
has been failing for several years, and
it is hoped to raise it to its normal level

Haskell Institute is one of twenty
four schools invited to make an exhibit
of work at the World's Federation of
Y. W. C. A. workers to be held in Tokio

We are glad to again welcome to Car
lisle Miss Reel, Superintendent of Indi
an Schools who has arrived for a short
visit. Our only regret is that her visit
is to be a brief one. Since her last visit
to Carlisle, Miss Reel has visited a large
number of schools extending as far as
the Pacific coast, necessitating thousands
of miles of strenuous travel. The Arrow.

Maria has been elected Vice President of
the Seniors at Carlisle.
There is a movement on foot to organ-,
ize a Dramatic Club among the employ
ees and a meeting will be held in the
Club parlor on Tuesday evening next for
