It is a lamentable fact that we do
at times misspell words, get our sen
tences twisted and have our nouns, verbs
and prepositions in discord, but if we
were not reminded of these slips of pen,
say on the average once a week, we
might go on forever, not knowing that
any one was offended. So it is with
pleasure that we publish a pupil's item
under the head of "a criticism."
Presuming that this youug man writes
his iteris without flaws, we are safe in
saying that the majority do not. As
everyone knows that the printing force
is made up of pupils from different
grades and-are inexperienced in the a;t
of printing and it is a very difficult task
to always get perfect work from them,
although the copy before them is correct.
The ' omission of letters arid whole
words sometimes occurs, also parts of
sentences, which we let run through as
we have no time to make up a new stick.
We know that our dear readers under
stand things as they are.

the dear "Old Man" and wish to be
recognized. , .
A Criticism
Speaking of patient and careful work
ers, the"printer" as a general rule, is very
patient and careful to see that no word
or letter is changed. But I can not help
noticing that through some slight care
lessness, several of my items have been
changed, by putting, or changing a word
and even some times several words chang
ed or added. I reminded two of the print
ers of this, but they denied any know
ledge of it. Now I do hope that the print
ers will be more careful hereafter, because
my items have been criticized through
their carelessness. A pupil.
The End of the Limit.
"What do you get for all this work?" .
I was asked the other day;
