Little Things.
A trood-hy kiss iB a litile thing,
With your hand on 'he door 10 go.
But it lakes the venom out of the sling
Of thoughtless word or a eruol fling
That you made tin hour ago.
A km of greeting in sweet at d true'
After the toll of fhe day,
And it smooi bathe furrows plowed by I'are,
The lines on the forehead you once called
In the v
i that have flown away.
TU a linle thing to say, "You are kind,
1 love you mv dear," each night,
Hut it fends a thrill through your heart I
And,
For love is tender, love is blind,
As we climb life's rugged height.
We bo starve each other for love's caress,
We lake but we do not give :
It st'ema no ensy gome soul to hless.
But we dole the love grudgingly, leas and
Till 'tis bitter and hard to live. Selected.
Bojs in the Printing Office.
If boys must work and earn wages there
are few 'places better for them than the
printery. Home of the greaet me" the
world has produced obtained part of their'
education while hoys" In printing offices.
But the punting office is no place for the
boy without bruins or ambition, nor for a
dolt whoHiinpiy desires to go there because
Ihe work is light, or Beems light It Is an
excellent place for an observing, thinking
and studiously inclined boy. There are
mxnv printing office? wheie men will not
tie bothered with boys and wilt not give
ndvir;e or instruction to apprentices or to
young workers whose competition they
fear. In some respects a boy is in Inch
who bas to go to a reformatory, especially
the boy who wants to learn the printing
trade, as in most of he State Reformatories
