Our few plants are growing fine in room 5.
Thegirle say that their new home is like
paradise.
We had a fine song service in the chapel
On Sunday night.
The tailor shop will soon have a Bet of
new tables then it will be all right.
Last Friday nighty March 6th, we had
quite a number of visitors from Salem,
Mr. Potter took some of the girls out
walking yesterday which they enjoyed
very much,
Charles Newton is making a handsome
music case for some one at the McBride
Hall.
The band has just received several
overtures and are hard at work practicing
them. .
We are glad to know thatLelaLeMaister
will Boon be in school again after two
months absence on account of Bickness.
Mr. Childers has come back from his
trip in the east where he has been for a
vacation, -
Some girls were disappointed last Sun
day afternoon because they never went
out riding on account of the rain.
Sunday afternoon MisB Hultman took
some r girls out walking and they were
caught in the hail and rain.
We have bad beautiful weather the past
. two weeks and all hope this beautiful
weather will continue, -
The Estelle Eeels and the Dewey Society
will meet and have a joint debate on the
19th of March.
We all will learn if we spend our time
in profitable study, and keep digging at
our books all the time, and there will be
some very bright Indians in Chemawa.
Miss Gertrude Brewer iB going to leave
ub tomorrow morning and we will all be
very sorry to Bee her go away and hope
she will return to Chemawa some day.
They are painting the small boys' home
and also the sitting room.

Priscilla Art Club.
The occasion of the party the ftther
night was the departure of Gertrude
Brewer. We are all sorry to Bee her
leave.
"Old Sol" sinks behind the western
horizon every evening. This is a nnw
name for the sun. Miss Dotise said the
moon has another name but I have forgot
ten it.
In a few yearB from now Chemawa will
be a nice little town. See how they are
beautifying the grounds. When the grass
grows It will look much better than It is
Wm. J. Davis is our new disciplinarian
- at Chemawa and we are all glad when Mr.
Davis commands the boys, and all the
boys do their best, Well boya do your
best. ,
Mrs, Campbell and Irene went to town

What a credit it would be to our school
if all oi our young ladies were to try to
leave it with the same reputation that
Gertrude Brewer does,-A talented Musi
cian, one who treated every one courteous
ly and a refined young lady in every sense
of the word. We all regret very much to
see her leave us,
A little boy whose name is W, went (fl

was very busy teaching us, and when I
