The large girls are now located In their

The farmers are busy clearing land and
getting their ground ready for the sowing

Mr. Becker, our engineer, gave una valu

washer" for the "Bachelor's Club."

hard at work giving them a coat of paint.
The engineer boys are planting posts for
the Btreet lights and barn, and the latter
will be .lighted, when the , wire, arrives.
The Rev. StPierre gave us a good talk
on Sunday evening. He mads it very
clear to us bow all things work together for
There was an unusual good time at the
Sociable on Saturday evening. Home new
frames were played and apples were served
to everybody.
Miss Dohse gave a candy parly for Ethel
Parrlshou Monday evening. The guest
were Dora and Hattie Mann, Ella and

Mrs. Campbell and her pupils were sur

Mr. Woodln and Professors Stouden

urday, and, judging from having a team to
bring them back, they must have made
quite a haul.
The engiueers are busy repairing the
boilers, running the sewer drains around
the buildings, leveling the ground to get
ready for our wood railroad, putting the
sleara to the Office, etc., etc.
The ground around and in front of the
office is being cut up with a disc harrow,
and, as soon as the weather permits, It will
be sown In grass, then Chemawa will have
one of the best and prettiest lawns in Oregon-

The part three daya have been industrial
days in order to allow the teachers to at
tend the Oregon Institute, which Is being
held in Balem, During this time a great
deal of pressing work has been gotteu out
of the way.
