    DOMESTIC SCIENCE.
The cooking class is directed by the teacher of Domestic Science. It
is intended that every girl of the school shall receive lessons in plain cook
ing. They are taught how to prepare the vegetables for the table, what
foods are the most nutritious and how much to cook for a small family; how
to set the table and put away the dishes. In the Domestic Science room
and in the various domestic departments, the girls are trained to do all the
work of the home. ;
Cooking, washing, ironing, repairing, making butter, baking, in fact,
good systematic housekeeping.
