Our Twenty-second Birthday.
Tuesday fehriiary Sfith, was the twenty
mmti anniversary of the Salem Indian
School, Cbniawa, Oregon.
Tweuty-twn years ago M). M. C. Wil
kinson secured an appropriation from Con
gress for the ereclhmof it small building
30 z 60 feet, in which were housed 25
young Indians, all eHgerly seeking an ed
ucation. This building was erected at
Forest Grove, Oregon.
Some five years after, the school Was
