Mrs. Hilb is vifiting with friends in
Portland.
The B clues of (he eighth grade are
studying the diilerent kinds of evils.
We had some interesting stories of Lin
coln's school days in the lifih division.
Mr. Teabn has moved to the Em ploy s'
building where he rooms with Mr. Huut.

ed. May Blodgot has succeeded Matilda

Miller Collins has written a gong which

soon in chapel.

sented the A class of the eight irrade in (he
Lincoln Birthday exercises, Wednesday,
Miller Collins of the eighth division was
one of the best speakers at the Lincoln
Birthday exercises on Wednesday after-

excellent selections aud both well rendered.

Heating and Electric Lighting. A visit to
the Power House was conducive of much
good.
At chapel on Friday morning the little
hoys and g!r s from room No. 1 rendered
an excellent program. The story of Low
ell wns simply and beautifully told. The
speaking of these little people would do
credit to children of a more advanc
ed grade and speaks well for the care
ful work of their teacher Miss Seamans.
Arthur Bengali left Saturday for his
home in Siletz. Arthur was a pupil f the
eighth grade and In the graduating clans.
He always took part In all the athletic
sports of the school. ,
Some of the eighth grade, pupils find it
hard work to make their nouns and verbs
agree. Tom Young nd William Malione
will make them if they keep on with their
present stick to-it-ive-nese.
We hear that Dollle Stiltz has been re
cently married to Mr. Wilber Johnson
and that they are employed and living at
the Otoe bchool in Okla. Mrs.! Johnson's
many friends at Chemawa wish her long
life and happiness.

phy by Miller Collins of Mrs. Cloutier's
ciaSB. The reading of "Captain My Cap
tain" by Elvira Parrish, and the recita
tion "When Lincoln Died" by John Har.
