John Allen was a visitor at the Excelsior
Society on Thursday evening. The society

Helen Carthrae wan a proud little girl

"Ten Nights in a, Bar-room" will be
given by pupils of Mrs. Clomier's, Miss
French's and Mrs. Campbell's divisions on

A letter frorii Mr. Stacey Matlack, who
is at present an employe at White Rocks,
Utah, was received a few days ago. Mr.
Matlack is a foil blood Pawnee Indian,
educated at, Carlisle and now an earnest,
hard working gentleman, working for the
good of his race.
We wonder why the Overland train
stopped so long the other day? Mr. Camp
bell thinks it must be on account of the
indulgence of the Conductor in permitting
the passengers to view Marguerite and

Charles Lnrseii assisted in Prof, Gesner's
orchestra at the onefa house during the
production of "Rupert of Hentaau" on
Monday night. Charles is climbing right
up as a coruetist. '

cupation, as scenic painter for' the "Ten
Nights in a Bar Room." Company to bo
