\ 11 of the dim ensions are one-sixteenth
actual size, which makes the cross-
sections one tw o hundred fifty sixth
part of the size of the real trestle. It is
tw elve feet long and five feet high. It
is built in an artificial canyon of boards
and is supported by concrete piers. It
has been subjected to a pressure of one
hundred pounds per linear foot, but
will stand a m uch greater load. 'I he
trestle was begun by the junior engin­
eers of the class of 1905. Bolton and
D illard did considerable work on it at
