various colleges of O regon m et at the
U niversity as a co m m ittee in charge
of the Rhodes sch o larsh ip prelim inary
exam inations. O n ly one applicant p re
sented him self th is y ea r as com pared
to five last year. C ornelius Beebe, ’09,
of the U n iv ersity of O regon was ex
am ined by the co m m ittee and if he
passes successfully, will be on the eligi
ble list with Bolton lla m b le and Cecil
Lyons who took the exam ination last
year. T he final selection will be made
on a basis of re p resen tativ e scholar
ship.
