and the matter comes up for our consid-
eration Wednesday next. It seems to
me that a graduate manager would be
an unnecessary luxury for various rea
sons.
First. Arguing from precedent and tak
ing the school year as the standard of
comparison, it appears that the manage
ment of student enterprises extended to
undergraduates has not resulted in a fail
ure; we can rather point with pride to
the successful football season and all our
other student enterprises. The present
managers and their assistants will, I am
sure, prove just as efficient as the former
ones.
Second. The only plausible reason
that can lie brought for the employment
of a graduate manager is th a t.it takes
away too much time from the student
engaged in managing some student-body
enterprise.
As far as we all know’
the managers of the track and bas
ket-ball teams and Glee Club are
rather proud of their positions and
do their duty cheerfully, without,
as the class records can show,
being for that less efficient in their school
work. There remains the college papers.
