Voters' Guide
SEIU Local 503, OPEU recommendations are based on the candidates’ positions on issues
of concern to our members such as funding of quality public services (including home
care), privatization, affordable health care, and public employee retirement security.
Interviews are conducted through an elected committee of more than thirty member volun­
teers (CAPE) and in conjunction with the SEIU Local 503 Board of Directors. Additionally,
the SEIU Local 503 Board of Directors carefully considers ballot measure positions.
This Voters’ Guide summarizes the findings of our research and offers our recommendations
on all statewide candidates and ballot measures.
How you vote is a personal decision. But we hope you will make use of this information
when you make your voice heard with the most powerful tool you have - your vote.
T his is a vote-by-m ail election .
If you’ve moved since you registered, you will not get a ballot. If you don’t receive
a ballot by Oct. 23, call your county elections office and request one.
Remember: Your ballot must be received by your county elections office,
or at a designated ballot drop site, by 8:00 PM, Tuesday, Nov. 5.
