    ELECT MIKE BONNER OPEU PRESIDENT!
EIGHT BACK AND WIN!
Bring strength and balance to our elected leadership!
As OPEU president, Mike Bonner will work to elect our
members to the Oregon Legislative Assembly in 2002!
Every two years, 75 Oregon legislative seats come up
for grabs. Term limits have fostered a wide open process,
with no entrenched incumbents. We can fight back and
win!
Our current union managers don’t seem to want us as leaders at the state level.
They pay lip service to democratic principles, but prefer us in the role of foot soldiers.
Very little has been done to encourage individual members to take the political process
directly in hand.
Meanwhile, the anti-government crowd holds a knife to our throats with
constant mean-spirited ballot measure campaigns. Every election year, we fail to
deliver the knockout punch! They keep coming back with worse and worse ideas.
Mike Bonner says we CAN fight back and win!
