partments, showing that the work was
accomplished with considerably fewer
employees than was anticipated. The;
Civil Service Commission is well
aware of the good work being done
by the state employees.
Advertising Examinations
The Civil Service Commission
makes every effort to advertise its ex­
aminations as widely as possible. An­
nouncements are sent to all depart­
ments with a request that they be
posted: News releases are sent to the
newspapers and radio, stations and the
announcements are posted on the two
official bulletin boards of the Com­
mission.
Turnover Study
In order to determine the reason
employees are leaving the state ser-
vice and in which classifications the
s|ate is losing employees, a sample
study was made of the resignations
for the month of June, 1951. During
that month there were 453 resigna-
• tions. The following are the reasons
given by the employees:
