OSEA Bowling
Trophy Award
To stimulate a spirit of competition
among the chapters of the association,
to encourage intermingling of state
employes from all departments to the
end tliat they become better acquaint
ed with one another, the Oregon State
Employes association has awarded an
attractive bowling trophy to the Un
employment Compensation Commis
sion team of Portland for the 1950-
1951 season.
This trophy is to I be a rotating
award presented annually for a period
of ten years, to the winning team. A t
the end of ten years, it w ill be award
ed, for permanent possession, to the
team having won it the greatest num
ber of times. The team having the
trophy in their possession w ill be re
sponsible for the care and replace
ment of it during such time.
The first season of 1949-1950 there
was one league and the trophy was
won by the State Printers. The se
cond season there were three league^
two in Salem and one in Portland. The
University league was won by the
State Police. The Capitol league was
wen by the Public Utilities Commis
sion team. In the playoff, the P'UC
team came out victorious, but they in
turn had to play the UCC team of
Portland and lost. The winning team
consisted of the follow ing I playfërM
Amus Hitt, Paul Kerrick, Chet K ib-
bie, A1 Scharf and Don Baker.

state employes of Oregon, who are
members of a chapter of the Orego^f
State Employes association. It is ne
cessary, however, for partQ pating
teams to abide by the rules and regu
lations, governing bowling league play
as set forth by the American B ow l
ing Congress.
