ASTORIA CHAPTER No. 8
At its January meeting Astoria
Chapter No. 8 passed a resolution re
questing our OSEA headquarters in

would abolish thBLuthorltyf'pf/’the
Civil Service Commission over em
ployment and promotion of all state
employees.
Fourteen new members were ac

of the total potential employee-prq§p

MARION CHAPTER No. 18
Plans for fun-packed entertainment
throughout 1951 have been formulated
by the Entertainment I ¡Committee of
our Chapter — movies,;-pot luck din
ner, dancing, and amateur show are
only a part of the agenda. Member

Since the beginning of the current
legislative session, our Chapter has
been well posted on action taken on
any bill which would be of immediate
concern' to all State employees-1 and
particularly to those'having member
ship in OSEA.
Marion Chapter 18 ;'is tentatively
planning an “inquiring reporter” take-1
off to obtain the actual reaction of the
employee who isymot a member of
OSEA and the employee who might
become a member of OSEA. The re
sults should be interesting?— perhaps
we will learn just what can be done
to make a bigger and better Chapter—
what can be done to obtain greater
membership— what can we do to back
up OSEA 100%. This section will be
