Proposed Changes
To Constitution
The General Council of the Oregon
State Employees Association in ses­
sion at Salem, Oregon on November
17-18-19, 1951, by the ’nLçifessary two-
thirds vote thereof,^’proposed and re­
commended the ratification of the fol­
low ing amendments to the Constitu­
tion:
(A) Amend Article VI, Section (1)
by adding a sub-sectiori “ (C) im­
mediate retiring officers and district
directors.”
(B) Amend Article VI, Section (5)
as follows: after the word “dele­
gate,” insert the words, “or is an
immediate retiring officer or dis­
trict director.”
NOTE:
The ratification of the above amend­
ments by the several chapters will
make available to the Association the
services of retiring officers and district
directors and will in no way infringe
upon the rights of the chapters in their
election of delegates. Amendment (A)
would make these retiring officers and
district directors members of the Gen­
eral Council 'w ith voting privileges
and; (B) would m ake them eligible
to hold office.

State Employees Credit Union has
just closed one of the most prosperous

in 1936, but now has total resources
of more than $75,000, and loans out­
standing on December 31, 1950 to state
