Berlan Lemon, 30/psychologist, has
succeeded Walden Simpson aswirect^
or of the educational advisory divi­
sion of the Oregon Liquor Control
Commission, which is '^charged with
bringing to the attention of the gen­
eral public, and especially the youth
of the state, the harmful effects of
overindulgence in alcoholics liquors.
Lemon is a graduate of Oregon State
College- (’41), and won his Masters
degree at the University of Oregon.
Later he was acting associate in psy­
chology at the University of Wash-
ington.

is succeeded as Eugene store manager
by his formerassistant, William Duck-
worth.
FIELD AND SHOP CHAPTER
Field I and Shop reports that the
new, engine exhaust system 'in the
main repair shop building i s ?working;
out very welL. The shop buildings
are very large and a- great -amount of
carbon monoxide i^B^erated info the
air but the new/system is apparently
taking care of the /poisoned air in
good shape. Our headquarters staff, of
the OSEA cooperated with Chapter 38
in arranging with management to ad­
just what was once H very bad;; situ­
ation. We all feel that great progress'
has been made in /gproving work­
ing conditions^îor oür employ ées :

News from Chapter 9 has; been mis­
sing for a loftg time, we are still plod­
ding1 along trying to keep the wheel?;
