Lois Manning
Miss Lois M anning, y our OSEA
secretary -treasu rer, has been a m em ­
ber of OSEA since Septem ber, 1944,
and has served as secretary of her
M arion chapter No. 18 and as assistant
to our adm inistrative secretary at sev­
eral general council meetings. Miss
M anning is w ell qualified, having
served in state em ploym ent as secre­
ta ry to the insurance commissioner
for several years and in continuous
employment« ?{as typist and secretary
since 1925.
Lois is a graduate ? of Salem high
school, is past president of the Cas-
cade chapter N ational Secretaries As­
sociation and B e n d s her .charm and
graciousnes’s -tp m any w orthw hile civic
affairs. G ardening is her hobby and
it is I said h er “green ' S E u n ^ jB B L -k l
m iracles ^with her flowers and shrubs.
She gives unstintingly of h e r tim e to
OS.EA affairs and quietly and effic­
iently rendering a real seiyice to the
association and its B e m b e rs .

B ran d t has been a m em ber of Cor­
vallis C hapter No. 29 for four years
an d has been vice-president of | S
state . association in 1948.
B orn^ in Nevada, M issouri, he a t­
tended school in N evada and g rad u ­
ated from the U n iv e rs M of M issouri
in 1913. He holds degrees as a B.S.
and a M.A. IBs bobbies would seem
to be that of his interest in city gov­
ernment, for he was bo th a member
of the city c o un cil and may or of
city of Corvallis. He is a member of
the Corvallis Masonic lodge No. 14,
A.F. & A.M.; Ferguson Chapter No. 5,
R. A .M .; Oregon Council No. 2, R. &
S. M. He is also affiliated with Sign&si
XI and Gamma Sigma Delta. He and
his wife, May, have two children,
Phillip and Harriett.
for the PUC at Eugene, is director of
retirement for the OSEA. A charter
member of Eulane Chapter No. 40, he
also belonged to Eugene Chapter No.
6. He is past president of the Eulane
Chapter. He has been in state service
