Retirement News
On A p ril 1, th e state, highw ayB de-
p a rtm e n t^ ^ ^ g n i z ^ th e close of . ac­
tiv e service, by retire m en t, of Roy V.
H ollenberg, requisitions supervisor in
the accounting division. Mr. H ollen­
b e rg ’s service covered a period , of 33
years except fo r a short period, 1918
to 1919, w hen he engaged in sh ip y ard
accounting. His successor, M r:. Lowell
S hinn, has served in th e equipm ent
and accounting divisions for an e x ­
ten d ed p erio d and comes to the posi­
tion w ell qualified.
M r. H ollenberg, from D ecem ber of
1917 to M arch of 1925, was connected
w ith the original voucher and a u d it­
ing d ep artm en ts; from 1 9 2 5 to 1940,
h an d led th e accounts receivable, in -
com ing cash and bank balances and
from 1940 to d ate has beem lSiquB ®
tions su p erv iso r in the accounting di-
vision w hich includes the original
au d itin g d ep artm en t.
He has served u n d er three state
h ig h ^ jS I engineers, 29 state highw ay
com m issioners and has seen the o r-

His service to the state has been
long, conscientious and efficient and
his fellow w orkers see him leave state
service w ith rggret.
