All Association members should by
their acts establish in the minds of
the citizens of this State- a-greater
confidencSin State Government. We
will prove that administrative ineffi
ciency as mentioned by some members
of our Legislature is not condoned by
our Association, and we shall not per
mit any such remraks to go unchal
lenged. Our words must be convincing
and our deeds will prove our sincerity.
It has been a pleasure and honor to
serve you as one of the State officers.

creases in monthly salary rates for en
gineers have moved up but slightly

—$10; CE II—none; CE III-t-$20; CE
IV—$40; CE V—$50; CE.VI—$50. All
of 'these were increases put in effect in
July, 1949, on the recommendation of
the Civil Service Commission and
through the combined efforts of the
