ski area.
An unusual attraction is centered
about the "sky. window,” adjacent to
the coffee cabin, offering an outstand
ing scenic picture through an oblong
forest opening, looking toward high
Mt. Ashland across thousands of acres
of forest lands. The ski area is operated
as a picnic area in summer time.

Union creek in Rogue River national
forest, Karl L. Janouch,' forest supervi
sor, reports. The ski area, 20 miles from
Crater Lake national park on the west
entrance road, also provides a large
warming shelter with tables and a fire
place. Lodging is available at Union
Creek resort and meals at Beckie’s Cafe
on weekends only. The forest parking
area has space for 100 cars.
