that the white collar people, the offic^
workers, not only in state government^

rap.” But he also felt that the state
worker wds more secure during de­
pression times when jobs are not avail­
able and that this was an offsetting
factor to be considered. Our revenues
are derived from income and property
taxes* and .every biennium these are re­
viewed and estimated in an attem pt to
stretch the income to meet the obli­
gations. Mr. Newbry said as time went
on he would be in contact w ith the
Association’s officers and gave assur­
ances that they would receive the co­
operation of his office.
