that he would not encourage his em
ployees to join the Association, .not

that the white collar people, the offic^
workers, not only in state government^

rap.” But he also felt that the state
worker wds more secure during de
pression times when jobs are not avail
able and that this was an offsetting
factor to be considered. Our revenues
are derived from income and property
taxes* and .every biennium these are re
viewed and estimated in an attem pt to
stretch the income to meet the obli
gations. Mr. Newbry said as time went
on he would be in contact w ith the
Association’s officers and gave assur
ances that they would receive the co
operation of his office.
