resolution be submitted. Motion car­
ried. The resolution was submitted' to
the Civil Service Committee for con-
sideration.

Mr. Forrest Stewart, Éixecutive Sec­
retary for the Association, presented
his report in mimeographed form. He
stated that he had been, well received by
Governor H all and* Secretary of State
Newbry, and that on some issues the
new officials were in sympathy w ith
the1Association. He said that he anti­
cipated, amicable relationships w ith
those Officials. Mr. Stewart feels th at
the Association should be a little more
forcefùl in its presentation of requests
to, the. State of Oregon than in the past,
allowing more people to; take; ah active
