The principal contribution of the Ore
gon agency thus far lies in establish
ment of a uniform system of classifi
cation and pay „which has helped cori-
siderably -in the processes 9 of budget
preparation, budget administration .and
legislative consideration of salary and
wage appropriations. The personnel pro
gram has probably resulted inÇsome-
what higher employée morale and ih an
increased awareness of departmental ad
ministrators of their responsibilities in
