Jane took one of the sororities on a
trip to Rockaway, and later she accom­
panied one of the girl’s clubs to Ocean
Lake. Twenty-two young ladies made
the latter trip and Jane said she didn’t
have much time to do her knitting.
She made a huge pot of chili beans
for 6 5 one evening. Evidently the boys
out-numbered the girls three to one!
Specialized service for professional,
managerial, clerical and sales applicants
to the Oregon stdte unemployment ser­
vice are now being handled in a sep­

ON THE DESCHUTES RIVER
Gene Goff, superintendent of hatch­
eries with the game commission, was
a visitor at Oak Springs last week.
Our liberation trucks are through
hauling for thè present. They will re­
turn in' - about two months to make
further trout plantings.

meeting in The Dalles to hear Mr.
Stewart and Mr. Vannette talk on the
new insurance plan.
Darrell Devenport is spending the
weekend in Bend. Better just bring her
down to Oak- Springs, Darrell, and
sàve all that gas.
Ed Suiste visited High Rock and re­
turned with a good supply of huckle­
berries, but minus some paint on one
