thinking of our coastal neighbors,

In the September-October issue of
this magazine we will present a sum­
mation of the most important argu­
ments both against and m favor of
the sales tax act. Our interests as state
employees lie in being employed by a
•solvent and prospering employer. This
subject seems worthy of our serious
consideration and. intelligent thought.
CANADIAN COMMISSION
BROADCASTS PROGRAM
The Civil Service Commission of
Canada recently went on the air in a
radio broadcast to acquaint Dominion
citizens with its activities. The broad­
cast explained classification and pay
policies, and described in detail the
Commission’s examining and recruit­
ment procedures. The program was one
of a séries sponsored by the Processional
Institute of the Civil Service pf Canada.

A clinical center has been establish­
ed in Ottawa, Canada, to provide facil­
ities for giving medical examinations to
Dominion employees, and to review
the requests of employees for sick leave.
