Jimmy Robertson and his gang from
Shaniko were in The Dalles June 28.
Jimmy was the same as usual.
Frank Forbes and his o utfit at Mau­
pin didn’t get in on our storm. They
got quite a bang out of the rest of us
combing the mud out of our whiskers.
I Clyde Gilmore of Moro has a new
game he plays, called, "Sickle, sickle,
who’s got the sickle.” ;
The Dalle's engineers must have laid

Koons has been busier than a cran­
berry merchant the past month. Never
a dull moment:

28 meeting. We have some good boost­
ers in that crew.
Maynard and his helper are wonder­
ing if the squirrel hunters will ever
run out of ammunition.

O ur June meeting was held on an
o ff date to accommodate a visit from
Mr. Forrest Stewart, as he was unable
to attend on th e regular night. The
attendance was not what we expected,
as some members did n o tg e t word of
the change in meeting date.
President Tucker was prevented from
attending because his children had the
chicken pox, so Vice-President Shelton
took charge.1
A fter opening, the meeting was
turned over to Mr. Stewart, who gave
us a nice talk on some interesting topics.
A pot luck lunch was served, and
Sec. M cC lure. presented some enter­
tainment^ which was enjoyed by all
present.
O ur July meeting was held on the
regular date, w ith President Tucker
back in the chair, and there was a
fair attendance. Past D istrict Director
