Johnny Kergil, chairman of the aud­
iting committee, made his report and
stated that the retiring secretary had
kept a very good set of books.
The retiring officers were given a
big hand, and the meeting was turned
over to Forrest Stewart, who proceeded
to enlighten us on many things, then
answered questions.

— Hood River doughnuts (we spread
our dough around), The Dalles ice
cream, buried in fresh raspberries, and
coffee.
The members of this chapter turned
out in full force— keep it .up, gang.
Now for a few highlights of the
district. We are having a hard time
to get rid of Funny and his shovel. We
shoo him out,- then the weather man
gives us a bum deal, then here comes
Funny Taylor.
June 7, Jupe Pluvius got up with
a hangover. Along about 4:30 p. m.,
he relieved himself of the load he was
carrying. The D ufur section got the
worst of it. By daylight, Sunday
morning, everything was opened up for
travel.
Harvey McClain has been limping
around, with a hitch in his get along.
It seems as though he had a tussle
w ith the pull grader and a rock. Mac
tried to perform like one of those
"Hoppi Copiers.” He didn’t, land so
well.
If anyone needs to remove mud and
rocks from his road in a hurry, call
Paul Stout and Jimmy Hill of Park-
dale. They know their stuff.
