not have otherwise secured. The ac
complishments of the Association in
this respect
too numerous to men
tion and this mention js made only for
purposes of perspective, in comparing
the situation now, with that of two
years ago. In addition to these material
and tangible benefits, state employees
now enjoy a participation in state per
sonnel matters which they never had
prior to the activation of the civil serv
ice program. This participation is npt
limited to employees affiliated with any,
group or associations any employee with
a grievance, or a criticism, or a recom
mendation, hate the opportunity of
bringing such questions to the atten
tion of the Civil | Service Commission.
This fact î$n itself constitutes an ade
quate assurance of fair treatment to em-
