AGRICULTURAL CHAPTER No. 26
The Oregon State Employees Associ
ation may almost wager its bottom
two bits that a fide group of new
members will roll into Agricultural
chapter, as the result of a, few pep
talks which shipping point supervisors
of the state department of agriculture
heard at their semi-annual meeting id
May. The two-day session was held in
central Oregon, with Ben Davidson,
Ag chapter member of Redmond, mak
ing the local arrangements,
Forrest Cooper of Bend, director of
O.S.E.A., gave the' supervisors an ex
cellent ,talk on the history, organization
and functions of O. S.E.A.— and did a
mighty fine job of puttidg the organi
zation across. Then Hugh Taylor, presi

field men in shipping point 'come into

them, rather than being content merely
to ride on the coat tails of those financ

And to top both those pep talks,
Melvin Cleveland, of Civil Service,
spoke at length on the Oregon civil
service set-up and answered a l p t of
questions.

may be expected to com,e into the fold.
Incidentally, the shipping point su
pervisors had a busy schedule, with ¡a
dumber of speakers in their own field
on the program. The meeting was in
charge of two Ag chapter members:
