The April meeting was-a dud, with
no speaker and'n'o food, but on Mgy 9
Mr. „Nunn of the Civil Service commis­
sion explained the changes and results
in the Civil Service and Retirement acts
when the new legislation becomes ef­
fective, and everyone’s, 'attention was
held.
In a determined effort to increase
(the membership of our chapter, th a f
committee has plans under way for a
potluck dinner at the Woman’s club
for our - June meeting. W e h a v e too
many employeesiu our department who
are willing to stand by and accept the
benefits gained through the Associa­
tion’s efforts and .yet refuse to lend
their assistance, and it is hoped more
of them will see the light1.

Fred Fralick recently resigned as
chapter treasurer because of his im ­
pending retirement from state service
