I Capitol Chapter No. 19 got of F ro a
good start under its 'chorqe^qf feminine
rule for th e y c ^ re A year with Presi­
dent Jessie Singleton; in the chair, when
it met at the Y .M ^ A . February 11.
This was Valentines I D a y / which;
meant a V alentin| fparty, and among
the games played the prlncipal pne /was
contesting for the bow and arrow
championship by shooting at a large
paper heart. The bow had been m anu­
factured by that master . craftsman,

came a question whether the target
would escape entirely unscathed. H ow ­
ever, eventually the keen-eyed Johanna
Perry and the undaunted Red Hasty
proved thdy were th e . modern editions
o f Calamity Jane and Wild ffiMj Hickok.
They were fittingly .rewarded w ith
hunks of buffalo meat, which woreJa-
