for the next meeting and any-news in

Other chapters might find this method
useful in keeping their members uni

ROUND UP CHAPTER No. 24
Round Up Chapter, held its regular
meeting on December
1946 at the
Vert Little Theater, this being the in
stallation of the new officers and thé
report from chapter delegate who at
tended the General Council Meeting at
Salem.
Walter Clark, the retiring president,
turned the gavel . over to the new
President, Lloyd O. Yeck, after thank
ing all those who had helped out dur
ing the year 1946 by serving on. com
mittees and; attending meetings so
faithfully.
The new members are: Lloyd Yeck,
President; Truman E. Messenger, Vice
President, and Homer P. Rogers was
retined as. secretary and treasurer.
The members present were very
much interested in the activities of the
general council and were pleased to
learn that so much progress had been

made in the betterment of working
conditions and salary adjustments. Con
siderable discussion of Civil Service and
phases of Old Age Retirement and
the chapter delegates’ report took up
the evening until adjournment. One
phase of this meeting was a resolution
to get in more members during 1947
and to get those whose duesare behind
to get back with their shoulder to the
wheel. Most all are strong believers of
insurance and I’m sure the O.S.E.A.
is a type of insurance in itself.
The January meeting came on Ne’sC
Year’s Day and it was of the opinion
in December that , we could probably
get a good turnout b u t alas, the night
before was just too tough, only three
straggling souls showed up so we just
went home again, our official meeting
place was^eyen barred. Better luck at
our February meeting.
tunity to wish all a Very Happy New,
Year.
