state employees. Following the talks,
members will dance and enjoy a social
period while refreshments are served.
The meeting was held January 28 at

LIBRARY BUILDING
CHAPTER N o .2 3
Our chapter is very proud of its 12
new members. One from the State Li
brary, one from Vocational Rehabilita
tion and 10 from the Veterans’ De
partment. Al Crose really spread the
word in the latter department! Our
total membership has now reached 50,
our all-time high. While small com
pared to many chapters, this number
represents a large percentage of the
permanent employees working in the
Library Building.
Mr. Loren White,- the new O.S.E.A.
Secretary-Treasurer, was- a guest at our
December meeting. He and the chapter
delegate discussed the decisions of the
General Council and answered questions
for the, members present. We had one
of our best turn-outs at this meeting
and members very much enjoyed hear
ing M r. White’s discussion of Associa
tion policies.
A great many of our members spend
a considerable amount of their time
traveling for the state, making it very
difficult for them to attend meetings
and keep informed on chapter business?/
Thus, we mail a monthly news sheet
of one page to every member just prior
to each regular meeting. In it are given
