portunity to return to his old love, that
of auto mechanic, his main duty being
to see that the big trucks keep rolling,
and he’ll do it, as he is one of the best
mechanics in Eastern Oregon and will
be missed by the department.
William H yatt has been chosen to
succeed Mr. Frey. Bill spent several
years at Ukiah, and we think his ex
perience in bucking the snow and cold
there should fit him ideally to take over
at Austin.

We are getting off to a good start
for the year 1947. Interest is very high,
and our new officers are full of plans
and enthusiasm for the betterment of
our chapter for the new year.
A t the last meeting, Mr. Çlark, from
the State Board of Health, was elected
president, and Mr. Irvin Ail, vicie presi
dent. Committees were to be appointed
later.
