Reynolds were reelected to a second
term»
Rose City chapter membership drivé;
which started December 13, 1916 and
ended January 10, 1947, was very
.satisfactory. Twenty-one new members
signed up, and three transferred to
this chapter, making the total mem­
bership One-hundred sixty-five, -as of
January 10.
Turkey dinner was served at our
January 10 meeting. Guests invited
and present were Bjarne Erickson, state
president; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Query
(Floyd is the retiring state president) ;
Leo Smith, legal adviser; Webb Ross;
James McFarland; and Bob Glenn, state
vice president.
At the conclusion of the dinner,
President Moore presented J. T. Skel­
ton with the gavel and turned the
meeting over to the newly elected offi­
cers. President Skelton thanked the out­
going officers, and the meeting was
adjourned. The remainder of the eve­
ning was spent dancing and visiting.
As press correspondent for the Rose
City chapter, I wish to express our
thanks to the entertainment commit-
tee and thouse who helped with the
dinners and entertainment during the
past year.

EUGENE CHAPTER No. 6
Housing is causing a lot of people
an awful lot of worry these days. But
the families of two of our men have
solved their problems. Don Hatdcastle
has a new home in the country, and
Charles Thornton has moved his fam­
ily into the house Don vacated. Nor­
man Dick, section foreman at Dexter,
is the proud owner of a new G. I. main­
tenance building moved in from Camp
Adair.
Carl Hanson of „the L. R. Dade crew
is. visiting relatives in Denmark. We
have a new sub section at Oakridge
and Dee Fox, formerly of Klamath
Falls, is foreman. Carl Haag, a former
employee, is back working on the Lock-
year crew.
The dinner and dance given by our
chapter was a success and everyone
had a swell time.
