to the Employees
of the State of Oregon
If you should be sick or injured your life may depend
on the kind of medical and hospital treatment you receive.
At such times, those of you who are members of the National
Hospital Association know that no expense will be spared
in furnishing' you with whatever services your conditions
require . . . If operations are found necessary they will be
furnished; if specialists are needed they will be provided.
X-rays, laboratory tests, blood transfusions, bood plasma,
ambulance services, special nurses, oxygen, radium—these
and other recognized services are all furnished under. Na
tional' Hospital Association Contracts—and wherever the
member wishes to obtain them.
Moreover, the doctors and hospitals who attend national
members receive proper pay for their services—the Associa
tion does not ask special rates or discounts.
The National Hospital Association operates-on the funda
mental American principle of free enterprise and fair play. It
maintains a capital and surplus sufficient to discharge its
obligations. It is not doctor-owned or doctor-controlled and
does not claim to be a non-profit organization.
The National Hospital Association is proud of its record
—it is proud of its distinction of being the founder of prepaid
medical and hospital care in America. We shall be pleased
to send literature to you and your friends. Let us explain our
new contracts for your families.
