The section maintenance crew at
Cheshire has a 100% membership in
the Association. Foreman L. R. Dade
deserves the credit.
Another good man gone wrong! Al
vin H. Moe, employed on Lockyear’s
crew, and Miss Bender, were married
April 27. The members of the Associa
tion wish them happiness and prosper
ity in their venture.
L. R. Smith and extra gang have
left Eugene. They will be with the
Nash oiling crew this summer.
Mrs. Helen Dorais is now working
in the maintenance office for Superin
tendent A. J. Ford.
ALBANY CHAPTER No. 7
This chapter has changed its meet
ing place to the Moose hall in Albany.
Due to the constant increase in mem
bership, the old meeting place proved
inadequate. In order to do this, we
found it necessary to change our meet
ing date to the fourth Monday of each
month. About 45 members attended
our April meeting, which was a record
for us. Perhaps the $12 jackpot had
something to do with it. However,
Quintus Underwood took home the
winnings.
Fred Luke, Alvin Van Valkenberg,
Theron Hicks, Jack Rubby, Frank
Lutz, Howard Monson and David Mc
Hugh have quit their maintenance
jobs and joined up with the paving
crews. Earl Nash has departed to take
up' his summer duties as oiling crew
foreman. Glen Adams will take charge
of both the maintenance crew and the
landscape crew at Albany during the
summer months.
The Colorado Lake dance sponsored
by this chapter came off On schedule
and turned out to be about the biggest
little dance that fifteen people ever
attended. The only ones who failed to
