W A TCH YOUR BOUNDARIES,
SALEM
A paragraph on page 18 of the last
issue of our magazine has prompted me
to write the following. Probably very
few of you know that this Chapter ex
ists, however we do and have increased
in membership from 120 members on
the first of this year to 160 at this
writing.
The article that I mention above is
the Government Camp section crew
being 100 per cent in Salem Chapter
No. 1. I am not sure but, believe I
have talked to the Foreman of this crew
by radio and think the place is located
somewhere on Mt. Hood in Division
One. We are glad to hear that this
crew is 100 per cent in the Associa
tion, but do not want you to think
that Mt. Hood is in the Salem area. As
you have probably heard, California
has had Crater Lake in their State, and
we do not want Mt. Hood moved out
of Division One even though it would
still be in the State of Oregon.
For the information of those inter
city Grocery & Meat Market
ested, the following crews are 100 per
cent in Rose City Chapter No. 5 at
this writing: N orth Portland section
crew, Newberg section crew, St. Hel
ens section crew, Extra Gang Maint.
crew, Cascade Locks section crew, and
the Bridge Crew workout out of Port
land.
L. J. McReynolds,
Secretary-T reasurer,
Rose City Chapter No. $.
Outside a little church near Los
Angeles we noticed the following pos
ter announcing the Sunday’s sermon:
"Do you know what hell is?” Under
neath that question and in smaller type
was printed: "Come in and hear our
new organist.”
"Do you know what one little toe
said to the other little toe?”
"No, what?”
"Don’t you look now, but I think
we are being followed by a couple of
heels!”
