patiently for Roy Boldt and Clarence

THE DALLES CHAPTER No. 9
A pot luck dinner was held October
27 by the Chapter at The Dalles.
Thanks to the efforts of the ladies a
good dinner was enjoyed. There is a
swell bunch of cooks around here. Hope
we can talk them into feeding us again.
At the conclusion of the dinner a short
business session was held after which
Mr. Harvey McClain turned the meet
ing over to Mr. C. O. Slabough who
acted as master of ceremonies. Our As
sociation President Mr. DeFrance, and
Mr. Forrest Stewart, Executive Secre
tary, were present and each gave a very
interesting talk on the aims and ac
complishments of the Association.
There is a rumor out that Mr. DeFrance
likes ice cream.
Mr. C. C. Seeley and Mr. L. .V.
Koons, District Maintenance Superin
tendents, have exchanged places again.
Mr. Seeley is in Astoria now, and Mr.
L. V. Koons is back in The Dalles. Mr.
