FORREST COOPER, Editor
You now have the opportunity to ex
press your opinions and ideas through
Vox Pop. Address communications for
Vox Pop to Forrest Cooper, 504 Buena
Vista Drive, Redmond, Oregon. Please
give your name and address when you
write.
A t the' time we go to press we have
received a few communications which
the editor has read with great interest.
Expecting to be called upon to answer
many perplexing problems from the
depths of profound knowledge, I find
that answering the following, was only
the mildest form of exercise and barely
opened the spigot on my fountain of
wisdom:
Dear Mr. Cooper:
"I have just finished reading the
May-June issue of The Oregon State
Employee and I see where you are well
qualified to answer all questions. ■
Will you please tell me where I can
find some Eskimos here in Iceland. I
have been here three summers, haye
visited most of the villages but to date
have not had the opportunity to ob
serve one. I did, however, in January
of this year talk to some in Greenland
but my knowledge of thè Eskimo lan
guage is very limited and I did not
find out during the conversation if any
of his people lived here in Iceland.
Any information on the subject will
be appreciated because in;a few months
it will be necessary for some of us to
take our Icelandic citizenship papers if
a boat does not show up to take us
back to the United States. Should our
application have to be made and if it is
disapproved by the Icelandic Govern
ment for reasons best known to them,
it wilThe necessary that we go to the
hills and pitch our pup tent on the
glaciers in which case the knowledge of
Eskimo habits and customs will be of
the utmost vàlue.

Dear Tommy:
I’ll have Uncle Sam send a boat and
bring you home. That will be easier
than learning the Eskimo language or
sleeping on a glacier.
Dear Mr. Cooper:
