SIAC CHAPTER No. 20
Siac has suffered an irreparable loss
in the passing of two of its members,
Mr. J. M. Johnson and Mr. Wayne M.
Price.
Mr. Johnson had been an employee
of the State Industrial Accident Com
mission-for 25 years, and at the time
of his death held the position of Chief
Correspondent of the Firm Department.
His equable temperament and courtesy
haS made his loss deeply felt by all.
Mr. Price was also an employee of
the Commission for 25 years and was
the head of the Statement Division of
the Firm Department. He was generally
loved for I his • happy disposition, his
cheerfulness and helpfulness. Wayne
will be missed as long as any of his
associates remain here,
Vi Keller, the competent and highly
regarded Secretary to Attorney Lafky,
on leave of absence because of ill health
paid the Commission employees a much
appreciated visit on May ,4th.
Her many friends in all of the state
departments will be glad to know that
she is much improved and that we are
looking forward to her complete recov
ery and return to a daily association
with us.
Forrest V. Stewart blazed a trail
through the Collections Division the
othêr day by way of his lighted cigar
ette in a waste basket. Homer V. Car
penter, /acting Fireman, heroically
quenched the blaze.
AGRICULTURAL CHAPTER No. 26
Congratulations are in order to the
personnel of the Department of Agri
culture for the organization I of our
newest chapter.
A t a meeting held on May 24, Mr.
J. D. Patterson was. elected President
and Miss Jean Brimaeombe Secretary-
Treasurer. Miss Genevieve Morgan was
appointed chairman of the chapter
membership committee and W. L. Close
Was appointed to serve on the Civil
Service Committee.
